Baliwakenews – Indonesian travellers seeking a more immersive Singapore getaway can now discover a wider range of attractions, dining, entertainment and luxury hospitality at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), as the integrated resort continues its RWS 2.0 transformation.

Located across 49 hectares on Sentosa Island, RWS brings together world-class attractions, hotels, restaurants, entertainment and lifestyle experiences within one destination.

The ongoing transformation is designed to encourage visitors to stay longer and explore more, with new additions including Illumination’s Minion Land at Universal Studios Singapore, Singapore Oceanarium, lifestyle destination WEAVE and The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort.

Resorts World Sentosa brings attractions, dining, entertainment and luxury stays together in one integrated destination in Singapore.

First announced in 2019, RWS 2.0 represents the next phase in the resort’s development, expanding its offering beyond individual attractions into a broader multi-day destination for travellers from Indonesia and other regional markets.

New Attractions Add More Ways to Explore

At Universal Studios Singapore, Illumination’s Minion Land officially opened in February 2025, introducing three themed areas, Minion Marketplace, Gru’s Neighborhood and Super Silly Fun Land.

The new area brings together attractions, entertainment, dining and merchandise inspired by the Despicable Me and Minions franchises, adding another family-focused experience to the resort.

Another major addition is Singapore Oceanarium, which marks a new chapter in RWS’ marine attractions. Three times the size of its predecessor, the oceanarium combines live habitats, ocean stories, digital innovation and interactive technology to create a more immersive exploration of marine life.

Visitors can experience a multi-sensory journey through the evolution of ocean inhabitants, from representations of Singapore’s coastal ecosystems to the largely unexplored deep ocean.

The Research and Learning Centre also expands Singapore Oceanarium’s role as an ocean institute, with dedicated spaces for research, conservation and community outreach.

WEAVE Brings Together Dining, Retail and Lifestyle

RWS 2.0 also introduces WEAVE, a design-focused lifestyle destination combining retail, dining, nature and art within one precinct.

The destination features first-to-market concepts such as Pierre Hermé Paris, recently named the World’s Best Pastry Shop by La Liste 2026, Michelin-starred Chef Paul Pairet’s Moutarde, Sundae Royale and Dopamine Land.

WEAVE also houses Din Tai Fung’s first cocktail bar concept in Asia, Standard Bread’s first international outpost from South Korea, Singapore’s first COACH Coffee Shop, premium ‘tank-to-tap’ brewery, social club and dining destination People People Brewing Co, Southeast Asia’s first POP BAKERY by POP MART, halal-certified Middle Eastern street food concept WeWa, and Starbucks’ first Bearista-inspired store in Southeast Asia.

The Starbucks concept features life-sized Bearistas alongside an exclusive tumbler engraving bar, adding another interactive element for visitors.

Covering more than 20,000 square metres across three interconnected levels, WEAVE incorporates Singapore’s island-city character through curated greenery, asymmetrical shopfronts, outdoor refreshment zones and open-air walkways.

The design creates a fluid connection between indoor and outdoor spaces while providing a setting for local, regional and international brands.

A Wider Choice of Luxury Accommodation

The RWS transformation also extends to accommodation, allowing visitors to use the integrated resort as a base for a longer stay in Singapore.

Its accommodation portfolio includes Crockfords Tower, Equarius Hotel, Equarius Villas, Hotel Michael, Hotel Ora and its newest addition, The Laurus, a Luxury Collection Resort.

Opened in October 2025, The Laurus is Singapore’s first The Luxury Collection branded property and features 183 all-suite accommodations.

Part of Marriott International’s portfolio of more than 30 hotel brands, the resort combines heritage, nature and bespoke luxury. Designed by award-winning firm P49 Deesign and spanning more than 7,650 square metres, the property draws inspiration from Singapore’s colonial heritage, tropical landscapes and biodiversity.

The suites are complemented by Laurus Table, a specialty restaurant serving sustainable dishes inspired by the region, as well as a spa, fitness centre, landscaped pool and biodiverse sensory garden.

“We believe the best travel experiences are those that bring people together and give every traveller something to look forward to. As we continue to welcome travellers from Indonesia and across the region, we are evolving RWS to offer more experiences for families, friends and travellers of all generations. From exciting new discoveries and immersive attractions to exceptional hospitality, dining and entertainment,” said Chen Si, Chief Operating Officer, RWS.

“We want every guest to experience new reasons to explore, connect and create lasting memories at RWS,” he added.

Seasonal Experiences Throughout the Year

Beyond its permanent attractions, RWS continues to introduce seasonal programming designed to offer visitors new experiences throughout the year.

From September 1 to November 1, 2026, Festival of Thrills will bring together a resort-wide programme featuring immersive entertainment, Halloween experiences, family activities, lifestyle experiences and dining.

Highlights include Universal Studios Singapore Halloween Horror Nights 14, Into the Glowcean at Singapore Oceanarium, featuring the oceanarium’s first-ever Silent Disco, as well as motorsport-themed experiences at WEAVE.

The seasonal programme caters to different interests and age groups, ranging from horror and thrills to food, motorsport and family-friendly activities.

Sustainability also remains part of RWS’ ongoing development, with responsible practices incorporated into its developments and operations as the resort works towards its ambition of becoming a carbon-neutral destination by 2030.

A Destination for Indonesian Travellers

Indonesia remains one of RWS’ top three priority source markets, underlining the importance of Indonesian travellers to the resort.

With RWS 2.0 bringing attractions, hospitality, dining, lifestyle and entertainment together within one integrated resort, visitors can build their Singapore getaway around different interests while staying within a single destination.

Whether travelling with family, friends or across generations, Indonesian guests can choose from new attractions, immersive experiences, dining concepts and luxury accommodation as Resorts World Sentosa continues to expand its offering. BWN-07
